Elizabeth Priddle

Elizabeth was admitted to practice in 1993.
Prior to becoming a founding partner at Bazzani Scully Brand Elizabeth was a partner at Williams Winter where she practiced in the commercial and hospitality area for over ten years. She has acted in many transactions involving the sale and purchase of licensed businesses and/or freeholds, and the associated gaming and liquor law compliance issues.
Her commercial practice also includes negotiating leases of commercial and retail properties and general commercial conveyancing. She has particular experience in the Retail Leases Act 2003 and the dispute procedures under that Act with the Small Business Commissioner and/or VCAT.
Elizabeth has also developed an extensive practice in the planning jurisdiction and is regularly involved in all types of planning applications before VCAT. Her experience at VCAT has also included acting on behalf on licensees who are subject to disciplinary or enforcement proceedings by the Police and or Councils under both the planning legislation and the liquor legislation.
Elizabeth also conducts applications before the Victorian Commission for Gambling Regulations for a wide range of hotels and clubs including many RSL clubs in Victoria. This includes appearance work before the Commission.
Within Elizabeth’s commercial and planning practice, she has acted on behalf of many bodies corporate in dispute matters, planning applications and objections.
